Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on the 21st of September the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio, USA is an American actor. She is famous for her role as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost television series. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school when her parents separated to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. However, in 2001, despite finances, she was able to land her first major performance in the video online show Rachel's Room in the role of Rachel's Room's lead character. Her portrayal as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. film Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons of 2004 and she shared with her a Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) alongside her. Grace has worked with Tom Welling on The Fog during 2005, was looking to go into film. In 2007, she was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the character as Shannon in two more episodes of Lost including the series finale. She also appeared in the sixth season of Californication. The role she plays is Faith, a groupie who serves as a model for the stars, and draws the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). A member of the Gyllenhaal clan she is the child of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager her career began as a small part-time actress for her father. She also appeared in Donnie Darko along with her sister. Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal won critical praise for both her performances as the main character in Secretary (2002) which is the erotic drama about romance and Sherrybaby (2006). The actress was also nominated by the Golden Globe Award. In 2006, she starred in numerous films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008). She received a nomination for the award of Best Supporting Actress at the Oscar Awards for her performance of a single mother in Crazy Heart. In the following years, she appeared in comedy and dramas Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). Her other roles are as an agent of Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a singer for Secret Service in White House Down 2013. She also appeared singing in Frank 2014 and also the role of a teacher in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, in which she plays the main role. Gyllenhaal was first introduced as a writer and director in 2021 with her drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For this film she was awarded with the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
