Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on the 21st of September the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio, USA is an American actor. She is famous for her role as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost television series. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school when her parents separated to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008). She received a nomination for the award of Best Supporting Actress at the Oscar Awards for her performance of a single mother in Crazy Heart. In the following years, she appeared in comedy and dramas Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). Her other roles are as an agent of Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a singer for Secret Service in White House Down 2013. She also appeared singing in Frank 2014 and also the role of a teacher in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, in which she plays the main role. Gyllenhaal was first introduced as a writer and director in 2021 with her drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For this film she was awarded with the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
