Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian that has been in the business for some time. Born in Kildare, Ireland, on 16th March 1984. Bea was on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling CliodhnadhSullivan (born 16 March 1984), also known as Aisling bea she is an Irish comedian actor, writer and director. Bea was first able to make a name for herself as a stand-up comedian in 2011, following small parts she appeared on Irish and British television dramas from 2009. In 2012 Bea began appearing on sketch comedy shows or sitcoms. In 2012, she began appearing in panel shows following the win of an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Between 2016 and 2017, she served as a captain for 8 Out of 10 Cats and is a frequent contestant in the show's sequel 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She is the daughter of Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her older sister was born. In 2012, she became the only woman to be awarded the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea is her surname in honour of her deceased father. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian, an equine vet who committed suicide at the age of three when Bea reached the age of three, was an sufferer of self-harm. She was told about his death only at the age of thirteen. As a way to honor the man she loved, Bea adopted the stage name Bea and, in the year 2017, wrote an article about suicides in her family for The Guardian. Bea was raised alongside her older sister Sinead and her mother Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer, and a former professional racer. The family was obsessed with racing and horses. When she was a child, Bea employed as an assistant tour guide in the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early stage that she was not keen on the sport of racing as a job, and loved performing.
